Marigold Mine – Perc Test & Soil Mantel for Proposed Septic System

Battle Born Ventures recently contracted with Geo-Logic Associates, Inc. of Grass Valley, California to provide professional engineering services associated with proposed septic system improvements at the Marigold Mine located 4 miles south of the town of Valmy, lying within a portion of Section 9, T33N, R43E, in Humboldt County, Nevada. Battle Born Ventures’ engineering services included overseeing the excavation of two test pits and performing percolation tests, classifying soils, and preparing soil mantel profiles. The excavations were dug and tests conducted just west of the main gate parking area at the mine’s main entrance as part of a project to construct a contractor/ vendor check-in facility. The new facility will consist of a proposed 2700 sf prefabricated building and associated utility infrastructure to include a septic system for which the excavations and tests were undertaken. The work involved field investigations and tests, report compilation, and project coordination.
